NODA - Move over Ladies... there is a new Festival in town and it’s all about the Dudes!

Just a month after NoDa saw the invasion of Femmefest 2010, its time for the men to party with DudeFest!

And why not?

Last year, Charlotte was listed at number two on the "Top 50 Manliest Cities" in America in a study by Combos snack foods. The study used criteria such as number of professional sports teams, popularity of power tools, and frequency of monster truck rallies.

AND JUST ANNOUNCED TODAY- Charlotte took the top spot as the head honcho: #1 Manliest City!

"Charlotte, N.C. now has chief bragging rights on manliness thanks to its top 10 rankings in the sports, manly lifestyle, manly retail stores, manly occupations and salty snack sales categories"

Three years after the inaugural women power festival was introduced, it’s time to pump up the testosterone. The first DudeFest, to be held in NoDa on June 26.

There will be nearly two dozen bands such as Transmission Fields, Leslie, Truckstop Preachers, M4 Messenger, gogo Pilot, Breaking Laces, Lucky 5, Jeremy Current, and Deadstar Blues.

Bring all your man friends for beer tasting, chicken wing eating contest and motorcycle rally.

Not a dude?  It's okay - this festival is for everyone. During the day, you might even want to bring your family.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event.

Proceeds going to Save the Ta-tas and Pints for Prostates. The event will be held at The Evening Muse, Neighborhood Theatre and the Outdoor Stage at Salvador Deli, among other places.
